Padre's Ropey Scarf

Pattern:
Padre's Ropey Scarf
Me!

Yarn:
Black

For Christmas, my dad asked for a scarf that was 6" wide, 4' long and had the "Turk's Head" cable. By this, he meant a simple braid cable. Feeling like this would be really boring, I made him a 7-8"ish wide scarf that is at least 6' long. It has a really gorgeous and cool looking ropey cable pattern in the center with braid cables at the side. It looks very nautical and the tweediness of the yarn really gives it a manly and rustic look. I really love how it turned out and I'd like to use the ropey cables again in more patterns. Maybe make a vest with it to remind me of my dad.

The scarf took a while, but it was really fun and I feel like it feels like an Emilie scarf.

Thanks to my model, Ian
